Conservation Week – Tiakina Whangarei, Kiwi North and Birds NZ at the Whangarei Growers’ Market

To mark the start of Conservation Week, Tiakina Whangarei are teaming up with Birds NZ and Kiwi North to run a stall at the Whangarei Growers’ Market. We’ll be talking about the project and selling traps, but also asking Whangarei residents to take chew cards home to try and detect rodents or possums (more to come on this).

Kiwi North will be providing information on Kauri Dieback and how to reduce the risk of spreading it and Birds NZ will be promoting the NZ Bird Atlas Scheme.
